Alexander Mäder is professor for digital news journalism at HdM.

Before joining the faculty in 2018, he has worked for 15 years as a science journalist in newspapers and magazines: reporter for “Berliner Zeitung”, science editor for “Stuttgarter Zeitungt’ and editor-in-chief of “Bild der Wissenschaft”.

The topics of interest on which he publishes include climate change, emerging technologies and media ethics. He has developed digital projects and participatory formats for these topics. Most recently, he has been part of the founding team of the journalistic platform RiffReporter.de.

Alexander Mäder teaches the DIALOGUE course at HdM Stuttgart.
