The late Hans Rosling has inspired many journalists. He uses statistics to portray the world in a more realistic way. On his website Gapminder.org, you can find videos and graphs – and a short quiz to test whether your own view of the world is supported by the evidence.

The Solutions Journalism Network provides a lot of resources for constructive journalists. Amanda Ripley has written comprehensively about strategies to involve the audience and mitigate conflict. And Kyser Lough of the University of Georgia has a list of research articles and books on this topic.

The Otto Brenner Foundation has published an overview of constructive journalism in Germany based on a dozen expert interviews.
